Construction Plans
We received an emailed copy of our construction plans yesterday and everything looks good.
M will be posting down the hard copy on Monday along with our final tender to sign off on.
Once this is sent back to M, not long after, we will go into construction and then the 20 day countdown will begin... Cant wait.

Mitred Apron Joints
ok. I have confirmed with GraniteStone that a mitred edge runs the entire length of the edge where the downturn meets the benchtop, not the corners.
So, I have been quoted for 3 joins on the corners like this:
And it should only be 2 on the edges where the top joins to the 2 sides, like this:
Im glad I looked into it further as I just saved $230 bucks. :)

Weve been pegged!
We finally got our site-pegs in the ground yesterday. The surveyor rocked up around 4:30pm and didnt leave untill he finished after dark.
Looks like we might see some machinery on the block within the next 2-4 weeks.
Also completed our Electrical selections via phone and emails yesterday. Should have this signed off by this coming Tuesday.
We are now waiting on the construction plans so we can sign them off and then we can finally go into the construction stage.

Final plans in Drafting
Got a call from our PCC today and our plans have been sent to Masterton's drafting department for the final copy to be produced.
Hope they get it right and all is smooth so there isnt any delays. I anticipate this will take around 2-3 weeks.
Still waiting for the surveyors to come and complete the peg-out, and also waiting for our electrical appointment to be completed so we can get our final tender.
Seems like everything is going at such a slow pace now. Its been around 5.5 months since the site inspection. Im so keen to see some action on the block.

Block cleared - Ready for pegout
We cleared the block, pruned the side trees, pushed back the front "makeshift" fence and mowed the grass down to the lowest setting on the mower.
Our poor dogs have a quarter of the yard they used to have. Oh well, they'll be right. Like us, we have been cramped for a few years so 6 months wont hurt 'em. :)
Its all ready for the pegout, which Im currently waiting on Masterton to confirm.

Light Fittings and kitchen pull out bin
Just purchased our light fittings for all the rooms that dont have fan/lights or heat lights
Entry-Living/Dining-Great Rooms (6 all up):
Kitchen:
WIR/REAR HALL/LAUNDRY:
Also finalised the underbench bin for the kitchen. It is a single movement draw-style soft close bin with an additional kitchen draw above it:
We also increased the size of our kitchen cupboards so the bulkheads were at a higher level so as to not look out of place with the 2740m high ceilings.
