The collection well hole was dug out today. Had to dispose of about 10 loads of fill. (Lucky Ive got mates with property.)
Its a good sized hole too. Approx. 5.5 long x 2.6 wide x 2.0 deep.
Its all ready to go for the tanks to get dropped in tomorrow morning.

Plumbing Started
I havent been stuffing around with the seepage bed issue. This morning Ive managed to get council to revise our OSMS approval so as to relocate the 2x collection wells. Ive booked in my plumber and excavator for tomorrow morning. Delivery and placement of the new collection wells first thing Friday morning and a de-sludge of the old septic for tomorrow morning as-well.
We've currently got Mastertons plumbers here sorting out the under slab pipe-work too.
The problem peering holes:
Formwork stopped in "action". Looks like we guessed the positioning of the services in position against the slab perfectly:

Peering Started
Our peering and form-work started today. Ran into an issue though as our septic seepage bed is under where the garage will be.
4 of the peers are filling up with water and they cant get a decent depth. Looks like we will have to decommission the bed now rather than later. I'll need to install 2x 7500L collection wells. Problem is trying to squeeze it all in with all the soil and stuff in the way and this is holding up the build until I sort it out..
Love a good challenge.....

Services laid
All our services were laid today.
- 3 phase power to the new house. (meter and cabling set-up for temporary/permanent)
- Single phase power to the cabin.
- New water line to the cabin with a capped T peice/line in for the new house.
- New phone line to the cabin with a loop, joined at the new house.
As I had to arrange and pay for the 3 phase cabling and 3 phase meter myself, I should be able to get a credit back from our tender price with Masterton.
Also, our SS arrived today to check it all out and he told me that we are booked in for piering and formwork next Tuesday and ground plumbing on Wednesday. The temp fence is also due to arrive any day now.
Site scrape is still booked in for this Saturday. Will update soon.

Cut & fill - Stage 1
The site cut was started today. It turns out that the services trench will need go deeper as the slab will be closer than we thought. So instead of 1000mm it needs to be 1300mm just to be safe.
Due to this fact, the rest of the cut should be completed this Saturday.
Its hard to picture the levels on your property but once they start digging its more obvious.
Should be an interesting challenge trying to landscape it all once its completed. I'll try and hold on to my top soil though as I dont have much of it.
